The title has no bearing on anything really…I just realised I’ve not written in ages and it’s mid-Summer. I can’t believe we’re past the half-way mark and inching our way toward winter again. Least we have the Fall before Winter arrives…
So much has been happening that I’ve had little chance to sit and pen some blogs here.
Firstly, I’m another year older, have been subjected to some pretty uncomfortable medical procedures, started exercising again, seeing lots of films, and getting my head down working as much as possible too.
I must have 500 pages of potential chapters for a book or two (see pic). How to turn them into something worth reading is another story. I’ll get there eventually…
Over the weekend the news was all about Norway and Winehouse. Both are sad affairs. I know, massive understatement. Thea. All anyone keeps saying is “what a waste” and it’s so true,…it’s a little frustrating for the rest of us “less talented” people to see the self-loathing of the, arguably more talented folks out there. We all have the inner demons we’re battling. Some of us just more than others.
On to happier subjects…
We saw Harry Potter last night which was a fantastic ride. The other night was Tree of Life which was overly-indulgent existentialism. They could have trimmed 30 minutes of that running time and still got their point across. So as to not have wasted the 30 minutes they could have released that an IMAX Theatre near you.
Finally, my most exciting project is the new animated video, which should be launching in the next week or so. It’s a tutorial – voiced by your’s truly – on How to Dump Your Relationship – best practices if you will. [Not that I claim to have always gotten it "right" when I've had to end it, but hopefully I've always ended it with respect, sensitivity and gratitude for the experience, so that's something.]
Seriously though this video is a cracker. Ron has done amazing work (as usual). See our past animated videos here.
Meanwhile I’ll get back to checking out EverNote again. My friend Derek recommended it a year or two ago, but after joining I didn’t utilise it. Maybe this time I will…’Good for storing creativity, songs, to (or other) notes, fave websites etc. I’m keeping a food diary to write down everything I eat. Should do the same on all I spend!
