It’s not every day I get called a “Californian Computer Whizz” (oh how the press does make me laugh) but we’ll go with it.
As my father always says “talk good about me, talk bad about me but just talk about me”. And of course, there’s the old adage of, “There’s No Such Thing as Bad Publicity”.…
Anyway woke up to an email about a wee feature in today’s Sun newspaper. That’s a good way to start a Monday.
‘Really hoping to get a few more break-up lines sent in (to add to our collection that spans several hundred already).
As you can see it’s only a little blurb in the Scottish Sun about the wonderful break up lines (only a small %) posted on the SYBD site.
Really must get my book completed soon and for sale on So You’ve Been Dumped.
Oh the things people say….
What a hoot!
What the article doesn’t say is that the site was launched back in 2000.
Also slightly inaccurate about the “ditched by the dream fella she’d moved to Scotland for in 1992.”
Bollocks. That’s not even true. That relationship ended YEARS before the conception of the site. I had a long term relationship after that and then a short term one which is the true one that inspired it. Had nothing to do with the so-called Dream Guy who brought me here.
But then that’s the press for you I guess. At least I liked the photo. Of course I should because I’d submitted it YEARS ago when they did a feature on me while I was at Q96.
Not that any of that matters to anyone else but me, but I had to set the record straight. This site was not about any GUY dumping me – it was about a series of three fellas dumping me – over four years - more than twelve years ago!
And hey, I haven’t really been dumped since – so that’s good eh?
Yes, it’s true, I am no longer “that dumped chick”.
Thank God.
